Brighton Beach Boxes

If we lived in OZ the place we would love to live is Brighton. It is so beautiful, it reminds me of here. Anyway, it is a tradition to go there and take our pictures at the beach boxes. These are storage units for people who own them and you can paint them anyway you loke. The last one sold for over $200,000.00. We have taken Piper's picture here 4 times now. So many fun colors which one is your favorite?

What You Looking At?

Here Geoff and Harrison are exchanging glances, I can only imagine what they are both thinking. I am sure Geoff is thinking "What a good looking boy, he must have my genes." Harrison is probably thinking "Am I going to look like that when I am 68?"

How many Powers?

Although it looks as though this is just a photo of Piper and her daddy walking along the beach in Melbourne...little Harrison is tucked under his daddy's right arm, enjoying the view...maybe checking out the surf (or lack thereof). If you look pretty closely, you can just see the tip of his head in the second photo.

Harrison is 5 Months...about 1,140 fewer than Maisie

Here is a photo of Harrison with Great Grandma Maisie, who is 95 (and a half!). She took the opportunity to pass on a few words of wisdom she has gained over the years to her sweet little great grandson (who is one of many). It was great to catch up with Grandma in Australia

FIRST FLIGHT

March 19, 2008 Left LAX for Auckland, New Zealand to Melbourne, Australia. HAP is going on his first plane ride to meet his cousins and aunts & uncles & to get lots of cuddles from Mare & Pop.

POLLY CATHILEE POWER- FLIGHTS

POLLY’S FIRST AIRPLANE RIDE March 27- April 2, 2006

Polly, Piper, Mummy & Sandra flew to Pennsylvania to visit with GIGI & POPPY TIM. It was a surprise (kind of) visit and was such fun. Polly aka GUMMIE BEAR was a delight!! Polly sleeps, nurses, and smiles!!! She is a darling baby. She even did okay on the long flight back to Los Angeles. The plane was re-routed from Chicago to LA due to turblulence—and it took five hours—from Chicago!

POLLY’S SECOND FLIGHT April 7-23, 2006

Polly, Piper, Mummy, & Daddy took a very long plane flight (15 hours) to Australia to visit Daddy’s family. Polly got to meet her cousins Alice, Max, Ben, Andrew, Sarah, Kate, & Laura & her aunts Sue & Chris & her uncles Luke & Paul and her great grandmother Maisie and other great aunts & uncles & friends of her Mummy & Daddy. And she got to meet her MARE & POP. AND of course everyone thought she was wonderful!!!

POLLY’S 3rd Flight June 8, 2006- June 11, 2006

Polly flew with her Mommy to Boston to meet sweet baby BEN LEAR & his parents, Brooke & Jeff. Daddy & Piper stayed in California & Kate & Jonny kept them company.


Polly’s 4th Flight- July 1 to July 9, 2006

Polly, Piper, Mummy, & Daddy plus Katie & Jonny came to Pennsylvania for a lovely visit—though it was bittersweet as Petie Pops died June 24, 2006. Very sad. We had a FOURTH OF JULY gathering for everyone to meet Polly & Jonny. Great Mimi Sharretts made her delicious pot pie. Polly wanted to nurse & be held the entire time. She is darling. Very bittersweet trip Great Petie Pop Pop died on June 24, 2006.

POLLY’S 5th FLIGHT July 27- July 30, 2006

Polly, Piper, Daddy & Mommy flew to Houston, Texas to visit Daddy’s best mate, Mick Hart. Mick & his wife, Anne, have Imogene who is 18 months old & Leo who is 2 months old. They had a great trip. Polly is crawling EVERYWHERE and getting into everything. AND she SMILES all the time—just one smile after another.

POLLY’S 6th Flight August 2 2006 – August 5, 2006
Polly & Mommy flew to Phoenix to be with Aunty Katie & Uncle Jonny. Jonny’s brother, Jaron, died, and they went to offer love & support.

POLLY’S 7th Flight August 26, 2006 –September 2, 2006
Mommy, Daddy, Polly, & Piper flew to Xtapa , Mexico to a private resort. They met Andrew’s best mate, MICK HART, his wife Anne, & their 2 children Imogen & Leo. They had an exciting week---Hurricane John came & they were evacuated, the Federali patrolled the area every day looking for poachers –who would steal the turtle egg laid during this time. Polly just smiled & cooed & enjoyed the trip.

POLLY’S 8th Flight October 20. 2006 – October 23, 2006
To Phoenix, AZ for Tia & Jonny’s wedding. Polly was the FLOWER BABY and could not have been cuter. It was a lovely wedding celebration. Jonny & Kate were beautiful. A fantastic memory.

POLLY’S 9th FLIGHT December, 2006
To Australia with Piper, Mummy, Daddy, & Great Mimi. Polly spent Christmas with Mare, Pop, Chhris, Pual, Laura, Kate, Sarah, Andrew, Sue, Luke, Max, Ben, Alice, & Maisie. A SUPER CHRISTMAS for Polly’s first one.

POLLY’s 10th FLIGHT April, 2007 Daddy planned a complete surprise trip for his girls. They flew to DISNEYWORLD and stayed at the ANIMAL KINGDOM resort---with the giraffes right outside their room. The highlight of the trip was standing in line—over & over & over & over & over again to HUG the characters. MINNIE was Polly’s favorite. She even had an autograph book.

POLLY’s 11th Flight June, 2007 Daddy, Mummy, Polly & Piper flew to Boston . Then they drove to
Cape Cod for Julie Lacouture & Ben’s wedding. Brooke, Jeff & Ben Lear came to Cape Cod & they all rented a house for the week.

POLLY’s 12 th flight, July 21, 2007 Tia, Jonny, Mummy, Daddy, Piper, & Me came to Pennsylvania to visit Gigi & Grampy.

POLLY'S 13 th FLIGHT--- March 19, 2008 TO AUSTRALIA via LAX to Auckalnd, New Zealand & on to Melbourne. What a fun visit to see Mare & Pop, aunts, uncles & those darling cousins.

First plane trip
Los Angeles to Nashville, TN for Lori & Ed Glenn’s wedding. Mummy was a bridesmaid, June , 04

Second plane trip
Los Angeles to Harrisburg, PA to visit GIGI & GRAMPY & meet Mummy & Daddy’s Pennsylvania friends& see my great grandmother Mimi & great grandfather Petie Pop Pop July, 04

Third plane trip
Los Angeles to Seattle, WA. Mummy had a work meeting. Gigi & Grampy came to help. August, 04

Fourth plane trip
Los Angeles to Harrisburg, PA. My first THANKSGIVING with Mummy, Daddy, Aunty Katie, Gigi & Grampy, and my great grandmother, Mimi & my great grand father, Petie Pop Pop. November, 04

Fifth plane trip
Los Angeles to Australia. I went to see Mare & Pop & meet Aunt Chris, Uncle Paul, Laura, Kate, Sarah, & Andrew and meet Aunt Sue, Uncle Luke, Ben, Max, & Alice and I met my great grandmother Maisie. It was a 15 hour plane ride each way & I was such a good traveler. March, 05

Sixth plane trip
Los Angeles to Boston with Mummy to visit Mummy’s good friends Brooke & Jeff Lear. Then I flew to Pennsylvania to visit Gigi & Grampy—as an Easter surprise. March 24, 2005.

Seventh Plane Trip- July 2, 2005
Los Angeles to Harrisburg with Mummy & Daddy . Then off to LONDON to visit Daddy’s friend MICK, ANN & BABY IMOGEN. On this trip to Pennsylvania Emily & Andrew shared with us PIPER will be having a baby sister or brother the middle of January, 2006. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!

Eighth Plane Trip – October 17th
I drove with GIGI & POPPY & Mummy to Arizona to visit Aunty Kate & Jonny. It was 6 ½ hours in the car & I did pretty good. We went to Tucson & had lunch at POCA COSA—Gigi’s favorite. Then I flew back on Monday, October 17th with Mummy.

Plus I went to San Diego, San Francisco, & Santa Barbara on week end jaunts with Mummy , Daddy, Lollie, & Joey

Ninth Plane Trip
Polly, Mummy, Sandra & I flew to Pennsylvania to spend some time with GIGI & POPPY TIM. This was Polly’s first plane ride. We did well on the way to Pennsylvania, BUT on the way back I was very tired & had a major meltdown (Gigi told Mummy that is what 2 year olds do!) Plus daylight savings kicked in & I had to get up at 4:00am –which was 3:00 am according to my body!! AND then it took 5 hours from Chicago to Los Angeles due to turbulence! Gigi said I gave lots of people on the plane something to talk about at work on Monday!!! I had so much fun watching the bugs, collecting the rocks & looking at Gigi’s AGE SPOTS!! PIPER & POLLY got to spend a little bit of time with their great grandfather, PETIE POPS—as PIPER calls him. 3/27/06 to 4/2/006

Tenth Plane Trip April 7- April 23, 2006
Mummy, Daddy, Polly & I flew to Australia. I am so excited about meeting my cousins; Laura, Kate, Sarah, Andrew, Ben, Max, & Alice plus Aunty Chris & Uncle Paul, Aunty Sue & Uncle Luke, and seeing Mare & Pop again. PIPER also got to see her great grandmother MAISIE. This is a big plane ride—15 hours. Daddy said Polly & I were angels—and mummy too.

Eleventh Plane Trip July 1 to July 9, 2006
Mummy, Daddy, Polly, Katie, & Jonny came for a visit. It was a bittersweet visit. PETIE POPS died June 24, 2006 (4 weeks shy of his 85th birthday). We had a lovely celebration for him. We had a FOURTH OF JULY party to say hello to our friends. Piper snuggled with GIGI & GRAMPY—we had such fun sleeping with her. Piper talks so much—it is UNBELIEVABLE!!! I ate Great Mimi’s pot pie—it was yummy.


Twelfth flight July 27- July 30, 2006

Mommy, Daddy, Piper, & Polly flew to Houston, Texas to visit Daddy’s best mate, MICK HART. Mick & his wife, Anne, have sweet little Imogene who is 18 months old and baby Leo who is 2 months old. They had a grand visit.

Thirteenth flight August 26, 2006- September 2, 2006
Mommy, Daddy, Piper, & Polly flew to Ixtapa Mexico to visit with Daddy’s best mate, MICK HART., Mick’s wife ANNE & their children Imogen & Leo. We stayed at a very nice place till Hurricane John came in & we were evacuated. Mommy got food poisoning on the way home. The Federali patroled the area every day looking for poachers as it was egg laying season for the turtles & the poachers would try to steal the eggs. It was a very different vacation –but also very memorable.

Fourteenth plane trip October 20, 2006 I was the FLOWER GIRL in Tia & Jonny’s wedding in Arizona. I was adorable. I loved walking TAFFY & TIFFY. Kate & Jonny had a BEAUTIFUL WEDDING. It was special.

Fifteenth plane trip --- December 2006 Mummy, Daddy, Polly & Great Mimi & I went to Australia for Christmas with Mare, Pop, Chris, Paul, Laura, Sarah, Kate, Andrew, Ben, Max, Alice, Sue, Luke, & Maisie. It was a very very fun time.

Sixteenth plane trip—Daddy planned a whole trip for the family to go to DISNEYWORLD in Orlando, FL . He did everything—they all stayed in the ANIMAL KINGDOM & Piper & Polly had the giraffes and other animals right outside their door. It was a very special trip. April, 2007

Seventeenth plane trip—June, 2007 The entire family flew to Boston then drove to Cape Cod for Julie Lacouture & Ben’s wedding—then Jeff, Brooke, & Ben Lear came & they rented a house together for the week. –

Eighteenth Flight—July 21, 2007- We all came ot Pennsylvania for a week of fun with Gigi & Grampy. Tia & Jonny came also.

March 19, 2008 PIPER'S 19th FLIGHT Everyone form the Power Family went to Australia via LAX -Auckalnd, New Zealand. What great travelers these darling children are!!!
